What communication cadence should I expect while working with Mountain West Vacation Rentals?
Prior to each busy season, our team will hold an annual strategy call with you to review your property’s prior year performance, align on pricing for the upcoming season, and take any owner input and feedback for the coming year. In addition to annual strategy calls, you will receive a monthly statement with a detailed breakdown of the prior month, including any reservations, related revenue, and expenses, so that you have total visibility on our process from start to finish. You will also have access to an owner app, whereby you can block calendars, reserve owner stays, place bookings for friends or family, run reports about reservations, view monthly statements, and more. Finally, we are always available for on-demand phone calls during normal business hours to discuss your property, while also maintaining a 24/7 phone monitoring service for any emergency property needs.

How do you handle guest communication?
We manage all guest communication, from initial inquiries to post-checkout. This includes answering questions, addressing concerns, and providing concierge services to ensure a seamless experience for your guests.

How will you ensure my property is safe with guests coming in and out?
We take a keen interest in selecting the proper clientele for your home including, the following requirements before guests arrive: proper identification such as a driver’s license, an occupancy list with the ages of all occupants, a refundable security deposit, and a signed damage waiver policy that covers up to $1,250 in accidental damage. Additionally, guests are required to sign a vacation rental agreement that includes indemnification language for you and us as the property manager as well as notification of house rules, local ordinances, and state and federal laws. Upon guest departure, our cleaners and inspection team are trained to visit the house and look for any damage and ensure property is secure. Once the cleaning is complete, our inspection team will visit the property to (i) ensure the clean was completed to perfection, (ii) look for any damage from the prior guests, and (iii) complete a security check to ensure your property is secure.
